The purpose of this machine is to reduce the harvesting time waiting for the most suitable moment. Its high daily production (3-5 Ha a day) allows you to start digging when the potatoes are perfectly ripe and end when they are still
good-looking. The tubers are dug up and moved on trailers without changing direction to guarantee a product with minimal mechanical damage as possible. The pick up is independent from the rest of the machine and free to swing on a parallelogram. 2 big feeler rollers adjust the working depth of the shareblades while the haulm intake rollers are dragged by the digging web. Grass cutting discs are mounted on springs and the pick up is “pulled” type. Sieving is performed by 2 webs of a width of 165 cm. This ma- chine is available in 3 versions. Mod. SR (Fig.1) with spiral rollers separator, mod. SRR (Fig.2) with spiral rollers separator and a longitudinal cleaning hedgehog, mod. SRRD (Fig.3) with spiral rollers separator, a longitudinal cleaning hedgehog and defoliator web. The SRR and SR versions are used when the working conditions are relatively easy, without plants and weeds that must be pre-cutted. SRRD version with the addi- tion of the defoliator web obviates the preventive cutting. The advantage of using a tool less and the relative lower fuel consumption is evident. In all cases the harvested pro- duct requires a further selection in stock.
